Very practical, light and easily stored behind a door or on a wall on the optional hanger bracket. Despite the compactness and ease of use this ladder is very strong. The rung support rib passes through the stile and is wedged in place in the hand cut tapered mortise. The hinge pin is made of brass that is peened over so it can’t work its way loose. Once you step up onto the ladder with the aid of the high support handles and then lean against the knee support you will find it to be the most secure and handy ladder that you’ve ever used.

The optional hanger bracket is made of the same wood as the ladder, angled to securely cradle the ladder, attached to the wall by means of a single screw.
I normally recommend ash for it’s strength and ability to handle the knocks and bumps that a ladder is sometimes subjected to. Ash is initially quite light in colour, sometimes with brown streaks darkening slightly over time to a golden brown. If you would like something slightly darker, silver beech is a lovely light brown with a red tinge that darkens over time.
