I have always been intrigued by floating-top tables. The floating feeling of this tabletop and its lightness is enhanced by the thin edge of the top and the hidden method of fastening it to the base.This feeling of lightness is balanced by the slightly angled legs and the supportive arch of the apron giving it stability and strength.
Handmade of solid wood using traditional mortise & tenon joinery throughout. The through tenons securing the shelf to the stretchers incorporate hardwood wedges that add strength and visual detail.
As with other furniture of my design the Cirrus Hallway Table has classic styling that fits well with a range of furniture – modern and contemporary as well as older Scandinavian lines. An interesting design, pleasing to look at with the subtle tapers, curves and chamfers this table is made to be used and enjoyed.
